I am not in a position to afford to upgrade to Win10 or other cost software due to this wretched Pandemic. Obviously I have tried internet searches in this period but the recommendations were superficial at best. Error messages include persistent "enter network password", "-ERR Server error - please try again later", "0x800CCC0F" the connection to the server was interrupted", "0x8004210A operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving server", and so on. AOL seem to have been out to lunch whenever I try to contact them over many days. Client Mail2web reports the AOL server as 'timeout error'.

I also have a Hotmail email address and email addresses on personal websites using Webmail, all working well but not connecting via Outlook 2007. This problem is confined to AOL/CompuServe - but note I can view my emails on-line via Edge and Firefox browsers. Despite my best efforts including all possible program updates and repair, antivirus checks, alternative email clients (Thunderbird and Mail2web) no solution has been found. Norton standard response was to "uninstall and re-install Norton" but this had zero effect apart from costing precious time. The date of this latest update coincides with when my email client Outlook 2007 stopped communicating with AOL (OS is Win7 32bit sp1).
